Baked Cottonballs

We coated cottonballs in a flour mixture and then baked them. This kept the boys occupied for quite awhile between coating them and then breaking them apart.

Maddox kept busy with dumping cottonballs back and forth between bowls. And with water and popsicle sticks so even better, lol.

Here they are out of the oven

I should have baked them just a little longer because most of them weren't "crisp". The boys had a hard time getting them open without using their fingers. Poor Maddox trying with all his might :) But again, a big time consumer so it was fun and a hit.

Ice Balls

We filled balloons with colored water and set them outside to freeze. The next afternoon I grabbed them from the back patio and we headed out front to tear away the balloon only to find they weren't frozen. Interesting! So we popped them in the freezer and went back out with them today. Interestingly enough, most of them still weren't frozen all the way. Macen still had a blast uncovering them.

Snow Day

Child labor

There was so much snow the boys were able to sled down the pile I made from shoveling the driveway. Both boys loved going down it.

I love this one because it shows its still snowing

Maddox even liked being pulled around the driveway laying down.

This one looks like they could be ice skating, lol. As much as I hate to admit it, we had fun out there. We were outside over a hour and a half and Macen wanted to stay out.

Happy Valentine's Day

Kisses for my boy! Macen is currently sick so I don't think he wants my kisses right now. Maybe I can get him tomorrow. Love, love, love my boys!

February School Project

The project this month was making a Valentines box for their party this week. We came up with the Lego box since Macen is into legos so much. He decorated it with Ninjago, Legends of Chima and Star Wars pics. It had to be green since he still claims to be the green ninja.

1 month down...

less than 11 to go. And this is what Maddox thinks of it:

We've gotten into a good routine since James left. Maddox started hourly care and he likes being there and seeing other kids. Drop offs have gotten worse though so hopefully it improves once he understands what is going on better. He was fine the first time, was near tears when I picked him up the second time and the third time he was crying when I left him. Macen is distracted with school so that is a blessing.

The boys get to see dad 2-3 times a week and they love it. Macen likes showing off for James and Maddox is even "answers" James' questions. James has the boys doing high fives, knucks and fingers through FaceTime. All 3 of them love it! Maddox also likes to hug or kiss James through the phone. He manages to hang up on James with either his kisses or while doing fingers almost every time. As soon as it happens he either laughs or says "o".

Movie time!

I was cutting up a lemon and both boys wanted a slice. They both walked around with them for awhile and sucked them dry.

Mo isn't sure what to think with Maddox taking a liking to him lately. Not only is he getting things put on him but Maddox had started making Mo lay down by pushing on his back. Mo fights it but only for so long before he gives in.
