Challenger Tournament Winners!

Macen's team kicked off their 2018-19 year with a tournament. Really no better way for a bunch of new kids thrown together than a tournament to get each other figured out. They worked so well together and took home the Championship. Not only did they play well together but each and every one of them held strong individually through 2 games of non stop rain. Every single person (players, coaches, parents, grandparents and siblings) left that park soaked and it was totally worth it!

First Day of School

The boys started another school year yesterday. Macen is now at the Middle School building for 6th grade and Maddox is in 2nd. Poor kiddos, it was raining when they got on the bus and when they came home.

Goal!

I did not get a picture of Maddox making a goal but I did capture his expressions afterwards. Priceless!

Kansas City Zoo

We spent the day at the zoo and this year the monkeys provided the entertainment.

The stingray bay was new this year and the boys couldn't wait to go.

That little baby monkey up in the corner showed that motherhood is the same across all walks of life. She would grab him, he would wiggle away and make a run for it repeatedly. She finally a good hold on him and drug him to the other side of the enclosure.

This little one would nurse and then throw himself back on the ground, get back up, nurse some more and then back to the ground.

Well this one is just too cute!

The monkeys were definitely the highlight. It was nice to see the cheetahs up and moving this year. Normally they are pretty sleepy.

And we are off....

Soccer season is upon us and soccer is life again. Both boys are in club soccer this year so we will be spending most of our weekends in the southern part of Kansas City until May.

Maddox's team brought home a win for their first game. They looked great out there considering they are a fairly young team.
