Great Wolf Lodge

We spent the night at Great Wolf Lodge for Macen's birthday. They had blast and it was nice to tune out the world for a bit.

The hot tub (or spa to them) is always a fave wherever we go.

Maddox did this over and over and over.

Howling like a wolf

When not swimming, they played in the arcade and became master magi's thru MagiQuest.

Art of the Brick

Next we made a trip to Union Station for the Art of the Brick display. Lots of statues/models made entirely of Legos.

This was a display within a display within a display. Macen was fascinated!

At the end, they got to play with Legos.

Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

I took the boys to the money museum at the Federal Reserve Bank. They got some more knowledge on money and got to watch employees sort and move money around. They also got to leave with a small bag of shredded money.

Team Building

Coach took a different approach for team building at soccer practice tonight. After they battled each other, they went up against the parents.

Winner

This guy won treats for the 3rd year in a row at school carnival cake walks. He's my sweets lucky charm! I told them before we got to the carnival that the goal for the night was to win at the cake walk especially since a local bakery was supplying the entire cake walk. He didn't let me down, lol.

Snow in April

Not only did Easter and April fools Day collide but we also got snow... in April. The boys love heading to the trampoline to bounce the snow around.

Cousin Time

Happy Easter

The boys had a great day of relaxing and gorging on candy. Easter and April fools Day collided this year so the bunny got in some pranks for the boys. They had an upside down egg hunt of eggs filled with fake money. Macen was falling for it even with two $100 bills in his hands until Maddox pointed out they were fake, lol. Some of their regular eggs were super glued shut with nothing in them.
