Way to Goal!
Soccer ended on Saturday. Macen's team made it to the 2nd game in the tournament and put up a good fight against a really good team. Macen got to play goalie more this season. Maddox had an awesome coach and we are hoping for her again in the spring. Both boys ended the season with numerous goals. So proud of them! They are both disappointed sports season is over while mom and dad are ready for some down time.

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip
I went on a field trip with Maddox and his class to a pumpkin patch. We wove our way through a corn maze looking for different objects and then it was on to learning about some of the things the farm plants and harvests. The kids got to pick out a pumpkin and play around all the pumpkins before heading back to school. The big pumpkin weighs over 1,100 lbs. The kids were in awe of it.

West Side Flag Football
The other player is a kid from Maddox's class so he's not just being a jerk :) This game had 4-5 boys from the same class between the two teams and their teacher came to watch them all.
Maddox had a great season of football. He loved running the ball and had no trouble plowing into other players (even though its flag and not tackle). It was so fun to watch this age group!

Colts Football
Football has ended for Macen. He managed to end atleast 3 of the games this season with touchdowns in the last few seconds. Pretty fun to watch. He got really good at placing himself between his teammate running with the ball for a touchdown and the opposing team.

Macen's Field Trip
I got to go on a field trip with Macen's class to the Fest of the Hunter's Moon. The kids got to see how bread is made and then baked in a stone oven, feel some animal hides, listen to some stories and play some games from back in the day. Their favorite was the game Graces where you catch hoops on drumsticks. I think the kids could have played it all day.
