Fall Break #2
Maddox has spent his fall break consumed in sugar. Friday he had lots of cookies while at work with dad and today a caramel apple....that he refused to eat after having to have it :)
The Children's Museum
We headed back to Indy to check out the Haunted House and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Lots of stuff to do in the Ninja turtle area.
The Haunted House was so busy we had to walk through it in a line. Not the best but probably good for Maddox since he was worried it would be scary.
Maddox used his size to his advantage, lol.

Exploration Acres
We spent a chilly afternoon at the pumpkin patch/corn maze. The boys got out some energy and had a blast despite the weather.
They did the laser tag this year and loved it! James started off helping Maddox but it quickly became apparent he didn't need help at all. He was running all over the place trying to get the other team.
My guys.
The maze is huge and has almost 30 checkpoints to find. You punch your card at each checkpoint and get discounts at various businesses around town. We found almost all of them and the boys were plenty tired by the time we were done.
The pumpkin patch was pretty bare this year due to the weather. The boys thought they were bringing home some gourds but we held off for actual pumpkins.

Soccer Has Ended
They won several games but mostly importantly, they played so well. Even the times they lost, they had their best game. Hopefully this team is able to stay together because they are pretty great together.
Fall Break #1
All 3 boys are affiliated with 3 different schools (districts) and all have different breaks this month. Craziness! James spent his adding to his Jeep, making beer and grading papers.

Washington, D.C
We tagged along with James as he took several of his cadets to D.C for the Army Ten Miler. It was a whirlwind trip but completely worth it. We got to see several friends while there and made it to some important monuments.
Macen couldn't wait to see the White House.
Hanging out at the Lincoln Memorial.
We spent a little longer at the WWII memorial waiting for James and the cadets to finish up their tours of some other memorials.
At the Arlington cemetery, we found an officer James worked with and watched/listened to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Army Ten Miler
I didn't get any pics of James running. Once I spotted him near the finish, the boys wanted to see him so my arms were full. He did a great job with his time though.
Paratroopers jumping before the run.
The cannons went off as each wave started. One shot produced this circle that went pretty high up before dissipating.

Flag Football
Football ended last week. Macen learned a lot about the game and even managed to get 2 touchdowns in 1 game.
Scrimmage with Parents
The last night the team had a scrimmage with any parents who wanted to play. Some rules were thrown out and everyone just had fun with the game. A great way to end the season!

Honor Flight
James got the privilege to go on a Honor Flight with his dad to D.C. Such a great experience for them!
