First Day of Preschool...Again
Maddox started another preschool year and he was very excited. He will be going 3 days a week this time so he is ready for kindergarten next year. We were all super excited he has Miss Melissa again. He jumped into my arms at pick up and said he had a great day. He also said Miss Melissa gave him a special kind of kiss - a Hershey kiss, lol. She knows the way to his heart.

Flag Football
Macen started flag football last week and had his first game this week. This is all new to him and by the end of the game he had a better grasp on it. He was thrilled when he got an interception.

First Day of School
Our 3rd grader! I don't think the reality of the school year being here has set in for any of us. We had such a great summer and we're not ready for it to end. But it's time for homework and sports again!
Grand Haven, Michigan
We haven't spent much time in Michigan so we thought it would be a great place for a beach vacation. Our days were filled with sand, sun and ice cream. James got in some reading time and I had naps on the beach. The boys weren't that interested in the water but they spent hours digging and building in the sand both by themselves and together. Such a relaxing time for all of us!
I forgot my phone so we just have crappy phone pics :(
Hard Rock Cafe
Before heading home, we made the trip across Michigan to Detroit to add another glass to our collection.

Geocaching in Michigan
Windmill Island Gardens
We made a stop in Holland, MI before getting to our vacation house in Grand Haven. Breweries and wineries are popular up north so we found a brewery to try and stopped here to view the scenery. We got to climb the 5 stories inside the windmill and see how they still mill flour. Afterwards, they did a traditional Dutch dance for us. The boys finished up on the playground and with a life size game of checkers.

Indiana Sand Dunes
Our favorite Indiana beach was calling our names! All the boys were buried in the sand and we all got in some water time. After a picnic lunch, we headed to the same ice cream parlor we went to last year. Such a relaxing day!

British Soccer Camp
Both boys enjoyed soccer camp this summer. Maddox went for an hour and half every day this week and Macen went for 3 hrs.
Dad brought him back a soccer uniform from Bulgaria so he got to wear that one day.
Playing sleepy dragon. This was a favorite with all the kids in his group.
It's been hard to wake him from naps this week :)
Dodging soccer balls kicked at them.
The last day of camp, they get to bring water guns to drench the coaches. Fun for all!
