Coloring Eggs #2

Coloring eggs with rice. They are speckled.

Coloring eggs with cool whip. We did cool whip instead of shaving cream - same results but edible.

Macen refused to eat the cool whip.

 This one had no problem eating it. 

Best Dad Ever

Just a little behind on this. Macen brought home a Flat Stanley project from school and James took him to Bulgaria with him in January. He got to go to the Black Sea, castles, etc. Lucky Flat Stanley!

He also made our trip to Ohio but I don't think he'll be playing football anytime soon.

Coloring Eggs #1

We kicked off our egg coloring with traditional dye. Maddox is "getting" it more this year and enjoying it.

Sooooo Over the Cold

Macen has lost his darn mind. He is really over the cold weather. He spent a lot of time outside with James over Spring Break and now he refuses to believe its cold and NEEDS to be out there. As he walked through the door from school, he asked if he could meet a friend at the playground. Mind you, it was about 30 degrees out and had just been snowing and raining. Then he wanted to play kickball after dinner and James and I said we were staying inside. He went outside and didn't want to come in for chores and bath. All this from the kid who is always saying he is cold.

This was James' happy place.

This is next years trophy. About 2 weeks prior to the Super Bowl, they ship it out.

Great Lakes Science Center 

We headed to Ohio for Spring Break. The boys' science education continued on. The lower level was about NASA mostly and then the upper level was all kinds of hands on activities. 

Hard Rock Cafe 

We managed to hit to 2 Hard Rocks here but one was a casino and didn't allow children anywhere near it. So James ran in for pins and a glass.

Imagination Station

We're still trying to keep the boys busy until we can get outside more. We went to a local mini science center.

Family Fun Day

The cold and snow has gotten to Macen big time so it was time to keep the boys busy. We took them to an indoor bounce place, treated them to lunch, bowling and then tried a new restaurant for dinner. The goal was to spend as little time at home as possible. We all had a great day!

Snow Day

With what is hopefully our last snow of the season, we were finally able to play in it. The other snow days have been too cold to even think about being outside. The boys did some manual labor before playing though, lol. We got about 7 inches so enough to create a mini hill in the front yard for the boys to use the sleds on.
