Another Relaxing Weekend

With Maddox being sick all last week and soccer being cancelled due to rain, we got another relaxing weekend. This homebody has been spoiled the last 2 weekends other than the sick kids part.

Macen has been all about the Star Wars Legos lately.

Macen spent nearly all last week wiped out before finding out he had strep.

Hopefully I'm not going down the same path with this one. He spent hours and hours on my lap today with a fever and vomiting. This really isn't our month.

Good Weekend

Apparently the only time we can slow down and regroup is when we are quarantined to the house by a sick kid. We had a very relaxing weekend playing, organizing the house and enjoying the nice weather.

How appropriate Macen was wearing his Batman shirt too.

 

We walked to Sonic and got some ice cream.

Soccer

 

I  forgot to post these last week. Macen had his first game last weekend. This year its a little more serious. They do 4 on 4 and keep score. Lightning got in some goals but nothing like the other team.

 

Soccer games will fill our Saturdays up for awhile.

The Circus ...featuring Dragons

We went to the circus yesterday and the boys loved it. Maddox had his serious face on most of the time with his eyes darting from one thing to another. Macen kept saying wow. They featured dragons this year so I knew Macen would love it. And of course along with dragons, means ninjas. He LOVED watching all the ninja moves.

 

We had front row seats so the boys were able to see everything going on.

 

This is motorcyclists riding inside the sphere. I don't remember it from last year and in fact, I think I remember hearing they stopped performing this because of the accidents. Well they managed to get 8 cyclists in there, without incident. Kinda crazy with them weaving in and around each other.

The elusive dragon appeared at the end and the boys watched intensely.

Renaissance Festival

We went to the Renaissance Festival over the weekend and it was hot, hot, hot! The boys had fun despite the sweat dripping from their chins.

 

 

Both boys made a wand and then had it anointed by the wizard.

 

We watched a magic show. Macen was impressed with him "eating" fire.

 

They chilled in the sky chairs.

 

We went through the dungeon.

 

These guys did a comedy act in the mud. Hilarious!

We wound our way through a maze and the boys rang the bell in the middle. While we had fun, it was nice to get back indoors for the rest of the day.

Movie Night

Macen requested dinner in the living room earlier in the week and after the way the last 3 days have gone, there was no argument from me. It meant I didn't have to cook. So we roughed it on the floor and watched Peter Pan. A great Friday night and would have been perfect if James was here with us.

Funny Boy Today

 

He ran his car into the grass so he had to unload it and pull it out of the grass, load it back up with his grill food and push it into the garage.

 

Maddox is waiting at the table for dinner and basically begging for food, lol. He doesn't like to eat right after waking so it takes him awhile before he wants his afternoon snack. And we eat fairly early so I am ready to cut him off from snacks (right when he is ready to have them) so he will eat dinner. So most nights he is waiting at the table for his dinner.

As I was fixing dinner, he came into the kitchen, pointed to my purse, held his hands up together and said "Money, pease". So he got some coins to add to his bank.
