First Tball Game of the Season
Blue Thunder managed to get in their first game in between the rain/storms we have going on. Macen got to be catcher first and the pic above shows him doing a little dance while waiting for the ball. Everyone on the bleachers got a good laugh from his antics. Sliding seems to be the "in" thing this year. Guess he will be wearing pants for the rest of the games.

Best Friends
These two have become inseparable over the past school year. As Mrs. Watkins said back in February "They are really good buddies. Reeeaallly, reeeaallly good buddies". While in Macen's classroom for various things, I did notice they were naturally drawn to each other. Unfortunately, Beau's family is also military and they are moving very soon. I've tried explaining to Macen that he won't see Beau again for a long time but he insists Beau will visit soon. He's talked a lot the last 2 months about wanting us to move to CO so they can be in the same class again, about Beau coming back to visit, etc. I think he is at the age now where our moves will start to effect him.

Last Day of Kindergarten
Today is Macen's last day of Kindergarten. He is pumped to be going to his best friends house after school for a sleep over. Macen had a fantastic teacher! She had him reading within the first 2 months of school and has pushed him to do his best all year long. I can't thank her enough for giving him a great start in his school years.

Science City
Maddox and I tagged along with Macen's class to Science City at Union Station. First we watched a show at the Planetarium. Then they got to run around doing some hands on experiments until lunch time. A great day for his class and us!

Ice Cream Cones
Maddox's 1st cone.
Macen's 1st cone. Not kidding at all. It took him 6 years to realize he can eat ice cream in a cone. He just started eating strawberry ice cream (in a cup) a couple of years ago so this was a big step for him. Now maybe we can claim him as our kid :)
Being the baby of the family has it's benefits.

Rawr...
there's a lion in the house. Mo has been pulling clumps of hair out the last couple of months. After an allergy shot that didn't work and blood work that showed he is very healthy for his age, the vet suggested a lion cut. So in typically Mo fashion - meaning a couple of hundred dollars later - here he is:
He's so cute and pretty small under all that fur!

Happy Birthday Macen!
Hard to believe he is 6 already! He had a great day and was thrilled with his presents and the decorations around the house.
We didn't get too crazy with the cupcakes. But we do consider them ninja turtle cupcakes with the green cake and the colors of the turtles on top :)
There were a couple of these placed around the house along with some snapshots of the turtles that he had to search for.
This Lego set got me the "You're the best mom ever" line and a hug. He got several ninja turtle things so he was thrilled.
