Macen chose a weekend at Great Wolf Lodge over a party with his friends for his birthday. The boys were super excited to sleep in bunkbeds. Macen spent most of his time in the big pool swimming and splashing. Maddox on the other hand could not get enough of the slides. There was no lap riding so he had to go down them himself. His little body would get pushed around in the water coming down with him and he always got to the bottom in a different position. The last day he was coming down on his back, head first. And at the end of the slides there is a big gush of water that didn't bother him at all. He was even jumping into the big pool without being caught by James or myself. He is our little daredevil when it comes to the water.
The boys got wands to the MagiQuest. I'm not sure Macen enjoyed it much until he completed all the quests and became the Master Magi. Overall, a perfect way to celebrate his birthday and allowed us a short family getaway.
