Gaylord Texan Resort ICE Exhibit

This was an event we attempted the last time we were in TX but Macen had a major toddler meltdown that consisted of ongoing screaming. This years theme was Christmas Around the World. Over 2 million lbs of ice is used to create the displays and the temp stays at 9 degrees. We were given parkas before we got inside.

All the boys went down the huge ice slide.

The end was the nativity scene - simple and beautiful!

Human Hamster Balls

Some of our plans in TX fell through due to heavy rain so we braved a mall on Black Friday and came across these. The boys begged to do them and had so much fun!

Cowboys Thanksgiving Day Game

After a 6 yr hiatus from the Thanksgiving Day game, we were back and it was the boys' first time to TX (or atleast the first time Macen can remember). It was fun to share the game day with them starting from our traditional breakfast at Denny's to "tailgating" to eating at Humperdinck's after the game. We didn't do our normal tailgating of precooked turkey breast, instant potatoes and rolls since this was our first time at the new stadium but we did snack on chips and soda while James played football with the boys. As the parking lot filled up, the boys found some other kids to play football with.

They weren't thrilled with the hats and refused to take them to the stadium.

We had a huge screen in front of us to get a better view of the game. We were way up in the expensive cheap seats.

Luke Bryan was the half time entertainment.

First Snow of the Season

We got a generous amount of snow - too generous for November in fact. However, it was perfect snow for anything you wanted to build and snow ball fights. So we (that means I) built a snowman, a snow kitty and the snowman that has fallen and can't get up, lol. Seriously though, the next 4-5 months can't go fast enough.

Purdue Ball Kid

Maddox got selected to be a ball kid at a Purdue basketball game. He got to go onto the court before the game and shoot some hoops, he got to stand in the train tunnel as the team came onto the court, he got to meet Purdue Pete and they put him on the Jumbotron. He thought it was pretty cool and was excited he made 2 baskets on his own!

Jumping into Leaves

We had beautiful mid 70's weather here in November so we spent it outside.

I don't think this is what Mo had in mind when he got 2 mins outside.
