A big week for Maddox

Maddox had his first dentist visit this week which he rocked. He eagerly climbed up into the chair, laid down, put on his headphones and sunglasses and chilled out until they were done with him. James and I are seriously discussing making an increase to his college fund. This boy just may be a dr of some kind.

And he got a big boy bed! His crib has been unstable but not a big deal because he never really moved around in it. In the last few weeks he started to do belly flops, etc in there while playing coy with Macen and I. Tightening it back up was no longer working so it was time. He has been excited all week as we slowly accumulated the mattress, bedding and the bed itself.

 

He got a new snuggle buddy (in hopes he would stop carrying around 4 others at all times)

Ready for bed

 

This is how I found him before I went to bed - opposite of his pillow. He is use to sleeping with his pillow on the left and now it is on the right so it may take him some time to adjust. This morning I had to wake him so not sure if he will get himself out of bed in the mornings or not but he was curled up on his pillow.

A little disappointed we didn't think of this one sooner husband given the rhyming with his name and Macen's love of Pringles.

 

Bows all over the cabinet doors in the kitchen

 

Maddox loves this! He makes sure he takes off his toilet seat and puts the lid down to look at it. I read it and he repeats, "Ho, Ho, go" or after I say it he says "Me, Maddox" in his cute little voice.

This kept the boys busy for the day.

Holiday Park

We drove through Krug Park to look at the light display. The boys loved it. Macen was disappointed when we reached the end so we'll have to drive around town one of these nights looking at lights.

The tree is up!

 

It took Mo about 2 seconds to start kneading the tree.

Macen asked who was going to put the star on this year. And then followed up with "It's  Maddox's turn since I did it last year." Love that he came up with that on his own.

 

The boys' creation before mom slightly altered it. We are doing red, white and blue since James is deployed with yellow ribbons mixed in. This will be the 4th year we have had some type of deployment tree. 

 

A few more alterations need to made - slowly (so they don't notice, lol) but a clear idea on the final look.

Jingles' Busy Week

Macen is really into looking for Jingles every morning. Maddox is starting to get interested. He hasn't been too impressed until today when Jingles hung both boys' underwear from the tv.

Smarties all over the living room. This is what happens when someone forgets to move him before bed. She wakes in the middle of the night, goes to the kitchen in the dark, grabs the canister and throws smarties from the kitchen, drops the canister lid wherever, sets the remaining smarties on the table and goes back to bed. So simple and Macen thought it was hilarious.

As you can see, Maddox wasn't scared one bit. I figured this was the year but maybe we have passed that stage.
