Macen's Confirmation

 Macen received his confirmation and chose St. Sebastian as his saint name. Saint Sebastian is the patron saint of soldiers and athletes. It seemed fitting for Macen. He chose Paul Zeps as his sponsor. We have gotten know the Zeps through soccer and they are great people. It's good to know he can turn to Paul if he needs advice. So proud of him for taking this step.

Breaking Hearts

 

I filled some hollow chocolate hearts with sprinkles and m&m's. The boys got to use little wooden hammers to smash them. They had a blast smashing and eating the chocolate.

Hello 2021!

 

New Years Eve

Due to Covid, we didn't get to spend New Years Eve with Ken, Stacey and the boys. I stuck some things in balloons for a countdown to midnight. Every hour they took turns popping a balloon and we stopped what we were doing to do whatever the paper said. The last one was for 11:45pm and we all got scratch off lottery tickets. Other than the selfie it was several minute to win it games. In between popping balloons we played Mexican Train, Ticket to Ride and Kids Against Humanity. The boys LOVED Kids Against Humanity. It's perfect for boys who are highly amused with bodily functions. I'm not quite sure it was appropriately rated and there were definitely no parenting awards given to James and I that night. But we all laughed a lot!
