Happy 12th Birthday Macen!

12?! Where did the time go?
We surprised him with a phone for his birthday. It made his day and every day since, lol.  It was a low key day with school and then some Chik-Fil-A for dinner. He wanted to go to a Sporting KC game for his birthday so we did that the following weekend when they were in town. We love you Macen!

Soccer Life

Ready for some games!

The laundry that follows! The picture (and all the black) doesn't even begin to explain what is in this pile. I believe there are 5 pairs of soccers socks, 5 shorts, 8 shirts, 2 hoodies, 4 shin guards and 4 layering pieces.

Last weekend was by far one of our busiest soccer weekends. Both boys were in tournaments but at different locations. Macen's team had a regular league game thrown in there too. I don't remember which games were won and which were lost but I do know the boys did what they loved and did it well. James and I love watching them play and what an honor to watch them play that many games in a 48 hr period. We ended the weekend exhausted but happy!

Sea Life Aquarium & Fritz's

It had been awhile since we had been to the Sea Life Aquarium. The boys enjoyed it and doing the hunt for stamps for their phamplets. Neither one wanted to touch the starfish though. We finished off with dinner at Fritz's. Maddox had forgotten you have to order your food by phone. A quick but fun trip downtown to break up the week.

Chuck E Cheese

A trip to Chuck E Cheese resulted in spending all their tickets on Frooties. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice as he counted out over a 100 for Macen and around 60 for Maddox.

Kansas City Wall Crawl

The goal this Spring Break was to find wall murals around Kansas City. Art Alley in the Crossroads does not disappoint. 

City Market

The boys have never been to City Market and with the addition of the streetcar, it was time they experienced it. After making the round on the streetcar, we made stops at the Arabia Steamboat Museum, KC Soda Co, the Candy Wizard and Bloom Baking. Basically we went for the sugar, lol. Maybe next time we can purchase some fruit and veggies.

It will never end!

Another snow storm arrived and I hope it is the last one. The boys didn't waste time getting to the trampoline after they helped shovel the driveway.
