We will be following the yellow brick road back to Leavenworth, KS this summer. Mom and Dad are excited to be back in the KC area while the boys are quite happy where we are :/

Toothless!
Maddox lost his first tooth the other day while eating dinner. He was so excited! He has been convinced since the beginning of school that he had loose teeth (all over his mouth) because many of the kids in his class have been losing teeth. And well....he just wanted to fit in. Now he does!
Basketball
The boys started basketball last month and we are all ready for it to be over. The place they are playing is not the facility for us. We are trying very hard to not be quitters but we are taking it week by week at this point, lol. On a positive note, Maddox has made great progress in the 4 wks he has been at it. He couldn't dribble when he started but is able to control the ball now.

Looking Ahead...
This is Maddox at 100 years old. Today was the 100th day of school so they had to dress up. He has fought me on this the last few weeks. He only got on board when I colored his hair silver but still didn't want his picture taken. I could't help but laugh while taking his pic and he was able to muster up some laughter as well so I got a smile. So stinkin' cute!

Winter Wonderland at Navy Pier in Chicago
We made it up to Navy pier on our 2nd attempt. We headed up the first time but had to turn around because James got sick. The boys had fun playing on the bouncy slides and some other rides.
Macen, Maddox and I made our first attempt at ice skating. Maddox wanted me to hold onto him the whole time and I was afraid he was going to wipe both of us out. We managed to stay on our feet but Maddox was done after 1 lap. I went another lap to see if I could do it without holding onto the side the whole time. I managed but was done after that lap, lol. Macen loved it! He found his groove and after getting out there a 2nd time later in the day, he wasn't even staying near the side. He had lots of spills but he got back up and took off again and again. He didn't want to stop.
Wherever there were no rides/activities, there were little houses and villages along with lots and lots of decorated Christmas trees. Some with just lights, some with ornaments and lights and several decorated as minions, easter bunnies, fall, etc. There were also several opportunities for pictures with oversized props like the rocking chair.
