Indiana Sand Dunes

We headed to Lake Michigan to play in the sand and water. We even scooted into the state of Michigan for another Hard Rock located in a casino. While I thought the water was cold, the 3 boys weren't fazed by it at all. The boys spent several hours playing in the sand and water. We had a picnic lunch and then headed to another beach with a lighthouse.

There was a lookout we trekked up and it was worth it.

After the beach we found an ice cream parlor. It was yummy!

The boys indulged my need to see this lighthouse. It ended up being pretty small and none of them were impressed. We also arrived mid day and at the end of a boat race in the lake so we had to park pretty far away. We were all exhausted after the long walk there and back to the car.

Growing and growing

Our new backyard had a vegetable garden ready to go so we thought we'd give it a try even though we can't keep plants alive. Well we must have picked all the plants on steroids because not only have we not killed them but they won't stop growing. The tomato plants are now up past the window sill and full of tomatoes. And the sweet peppers the boys are holding are HUGE! We haven't had to water them much since it always seems to be raining here.

3 Years Old

Hard to believe this little guy is 3 already.  He keeps us extra busy, lol. He is pretty adventurous and not afraid of much especially if it means keeping up with an older brother. At the park he wants to jump from really high places like Macen and when we say no, he cries and says he is big too. Maddox asks lots of questions and likes to repeat his question, lol. This boy can roll his eyes like no other and also bat his eyes like no other. He's always up for getting a laugh out of someone. Maddox is known for running around the house with one sock off and one on.

He knows all the letters of the alphabet but still can't say them in order. He knows his numbers through 12 really well and loves to count anything and everything. He is eager to start preschool in the fall. He's as social as his brother so it'll be a great experience for him.

He LOVES donald duck juice (oj) and corn dogs. He currently likes to watch Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol. We love you Maddox!

Beating the Heat

 Water sprinklers, popsicles and shaving cream - a complete summer!

I got ambushed with water balloons while taking pictures.

We were out of shaving cream so Macen was resourceful and used what Maddox had on him.

Columbian Park

Columbian Park has a waterpark, pond, train, a mini zoo and multiple playgrounds so we spent the afternoon here with grandpa and grandma. We finished up with some yummy frozen custard nearby. 

Maddox loved being on the train.

I guess they needed to roll from one playground to the next.
