Snow Day Fun

Microwaved Soap

 

 

A bar of ivory soap turns into a pile of fluff. I've tried this before with Macen and he wasn't overly interested this time either. Maddox on the other hand made it snow soap. It was another one of those 10 mins of fun and 40 mins of clean up kind of projects, lol. The kitchen smelled good though!

 

Bubbly fun

 

We made elephant toothpaste using hydrogen peroxide.

 

And then the traditional baking soda and vinegar. This one gave us a nice little explosion as it exited the top of the bottle and the boys loved that.

 

Ice Blocks

 

Another favorite that keeps them occupied for a long time.

 

A good way to end a snowy day!! :)

Road Block

There was a road block while we played trains. Maddox kept pushing the trains right up to Mo and saying "through, through". He refused to budge of course. He stayed for as long as he felt was necessary.

Indoor Baseball

 with a sword. Surprisingly, it was Maddox's idea that Macen was all too eager to participate in.

 

 

Maddox thought blue raspberry marshmallows make good balls to bat at too.

Love of Apples

 

He chilled out and ate his apple. He was so proud to pick out at the store himself.

Working up a Sweat

Our evenings this week have consisted of jump roping, hot potato with balloons and being superheroes.

 

He's Cute!

He wasn't happy to run errands so he was pouting but he managed a smile when he saw the camera.

Snow Storm

Macen already had a short school week due to parent teacher conferences but it was shortened even more with the snow storm. We kept busy with projects, toys and baking for the teachers. We even managed to stick to our tradition of going to Chuck E Cheese after the teacher conference. It worked out perfect after being stuck in the house for a couple of days.

 

Maddox helped make homemade applesauce so we countered the healthiness with the newly released Oreos. Maddox liked them but I wasn't impressed.

 

We did some projects with milk, drawings and magic nuuddles. We made a 3D rocket ship with the nuuddles and Macen thought he was the astronaut.

 

We got out our winter toys - magneatos and the tent/tunnels.

 

And of course there was no avoiding the snow. We had a pretty good snow ball fight.
